How I lock in for match day

Match day starts before the match. Visualization, breathing, voice, scanning — by kickoff it is automatic.

Locking in for a match starts long before kickoff. I visualize myself playing the absolute best I can — every action, every duel, every moment of the game.

§The pre-match checklist

Breathing exercises. Be vocal early — get my voice into the game before the whistle.

Tell my teammates to talk. Scan. Do the simple things on purpose so they happen automatically once the match starts.

The match itself is not the moment to find your standard. The match is where you show what you have already built.
